Go for a stroll through your neighbourhood, taking time to notice all the flowers and blossoms that grow in your local green space. Take pictures to preserve your memories and add them to a digital album you can re-visit each spring.

Spring in BC wouldn’t be the same without a healthy dose of rain. Grab your umbrella and rain gear and go for a puddle walk around your neighbourhood! If you’d rather stay indoors, set aside some time to watch and listen to the rain through your windows.

A recent study examining the health benefits of natural soundscapes found that exposure to natural sounds improved health and lowered stress levels. When you’re spending time outdoors, pay close attention to natural sounds. In addition to bird sounds, the study found that water sounds had the largest positive effect – another good reason to embrace the rain!
